What:
This course is comprised of the most easy to implement knowledge & skills in mindfulness from many schools of thought and mindfulness training courses such as MBSR, ACT, Vipassana, MBI, Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT, Yoga and Psychotherapy.
You will not have to find time in your day for a practice or add anything extra to your routine and daily life. You will learn how to make your existing life mindful.
Why:
Manage stresses, pain, anxieties, depressions, poor sleep, unhealthy habits and many other challenges that life might be presenting you. Mindfulness is easy to learn. This course will educate you on what Mindfulness is and how you can integrate it practically into your life.
For health and social care professionals, not only can you apply these skills to your own life but you can also go on to apply them in your work. The learning on this course is transferrable as a skillset. This course is 12 CPD hours and you will be provided with a certificate after the course ends.
Who:
Facilitated by Leo Muckley. I have practiced mindfulness since 2010 and attended many different types of courses and retreats to gain a deeper understanding of the practice. Mindfulness is a passion of mine and it can be life changing. I am excited to share it with you on this course.
I was successfully awarded a Professional Certificate in the Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness, by IICP college in Dublin in June 2020, taught by Padraig O'Morain. More recently, in March 2024, I completed Mindfulness Mentor and Group Facilitation Training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
I hold a MSc in Psychotherapy and Counselling and I also hold a Level 9 Certificate in Technology Enabled Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
I am excited to embark on and facilitate this 8 week journey of growth, discovery and development for you in which I will bring all of my practice, experience and knowledge for your benefit.
Important:
Although mindfulness is beneficial for most people, it is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. If you have experienced a significant mental health challenge or bereavement in the past 6 months this course may not be suitable for you due to it's deeply introspective nature. Spaces on the course:
The course is limited to a total of 10 participants to provide an experience with enough space and time for all to engage in ways they want to. Due to the limited availability, spaces are booked on a first come first served basis. A waitlist will then operate in the event of anyone not attending or for the next time the course will run.
